I was born on October 5th 1980 in Switzerland. My interest in drums started through my grandfather who was a drummer and pianist. I started taking drum lessons at the age of eleven with Dominick Paoloni. He also showed me the long road I would have to travel to become a good drummer.

From 1995 to 1999 I studied classical percussions and double bass at the Music Conservatory in Neuchatel, taking classes with the respected Laurent Decennick and Marc-Antoine Bonnanomi. From 1997 till 1999 I have also been attending drumming courses at the EJMA school in Lausanne with François Bauer and Marcel Papaux.

I founded my own Music School with my colleague Cyril Spischer in 1998. Currently we are employing 10 professors who not only give classes in drumming but other musical instruments as well. Currently we have around 250 students attending the classes the school is offering.

From 1999 to 2005 I studied at the « Swiss Jazz School » in Bern taking classes with Ueli Müfller and Billy Brooks who introduced me to the jazz language and philosophy.

During these years I gathered various experiences within many formations, from a symphony orchestra to a variety of bands, ranging from styles such as jazz, funk, afro, electro, to rock and metal.
